Welcome to Bears' page, our first Am Staff bred by Heidi McClure from Pirouette Kennels.  Bear stole our hearts from the moment he stepped out of his crate at Bradly International Airport.  He was such a confident cocky little guy, walked into our home for the first time and checked out every room like he owned the place, no reservation - no fear.  Bear has a rock solid temperament, he loves everything and everyone.  Bear will get along and play with anything that is alive, this dog truly has no issues.  He is for us that once in a life time dog, not because of his accomplishments or because he's a champion, it's his personality, gentle nature and zest for life.  Our lives were changed forever when Bear walked into it 2 yrs ago, and we couldn't imagine life without him.  Thank you Heidi for the best dog we've ever owned!
   My introduction to the show world was with Bear as a pup, what a handfull!  He would cry and bark at all the other dogs there to try to get them to play with him. All the local Am Staff people got to know me quickly...thanks to Bear.   Bear and I learned to show together, he was much better at it than I was, and together Bear finished his AKC Championship 100% novice owner handled.  Bear has had some great wins along the way, BOB, BOS, beaten #1 Am Staff in the country from the puppy class, and also beat the Regional Specialty winner of a few years ago. 

Breeder's note:  I am so pleased about the dedication that Jerry and Laura have to the breed, they are in every way an asset and are continuously striving to better the breed.  I feel many great things are headed their way and it is an honor to have been there when it started.  I also will add a brag for Jerry and Bear, all of the Championship points were obtained owner/(first-time)handled...no small accomplishment in the area they compete in which is very competitive!
